About us
Our Story: Appreciate the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of Cebu at the Cebu Quincentennial Hotel. Situated in the heart of Cebu City's commercial district, this hotel is a testament to the enduring faith that has shaped the island for 500 years. Whether you're attending an event or enjoying a vacation, the Cebu Quincentennial Hotel is the ideal starting point for your journey.
Established in 2021 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Christianity in the Philippines, the hotel houses a collection of memorabilia from this significant celebration. It vividly illustrates the Spirit at work in the Catholic Church, from the first baptism in Cebu to the gift and recovery of the Sto. Niño image, and the spread of Christianity across the Philippine islands. The Cebu Quincentennial Hotel stands as a living witness to the evangelization of the Philippines, the stronghold of Catholic faith in Asia.
The hotel lobby will feature the first baptism into the Catholic faith of Rajah Humabon, his wife Juana, and their followers; and other Quincentennial highlights. Guests get to experience the interior of the Spanish ship through lobby furnishings that simulate into a galleon feel and ambience. Imagine being able to revisit the Quincentennial Year celebrations even beyond 2021 through the photos, paintings, dioramas, and other religious artifacts on display in the rooms, hallways and open spaces of Cebu’s first ever hotel with a faith theme. Some hotel spaces will showcase tableaus of key religious events that will underscore Cebu’s reputation as a top faith tourist destination.
